- The Khan Academy http://www.khanacademy.org/ This is the greatest resource! Sometimes I use it in class, but mostly I make my students aware of the tutoring available on this site. Just finished using it to help teach photosynthesis reactions--Fabulous!
- National Center for Case Studying Teaching in Science This provides phenomenal cases for Human Bio and General Biology--they really give the students context for what they are learning.
- Watch this and be super stoked about the majesty of cell biology. Kids love it!
- Project Learning Tree http://www.plt.org/ This is a great resource to get you started planning student centered lessons about Ecology and Global Issues. Attend a workshop!
- The Science Behind Our Food--lessons results from a collaboration of scientists and teachers! Food Science Lesson Plans
I pledged to blog 365 times about blessings in my life--even on the tough days. I hit 365 a while ago, and now I can't seem to stop. This is where I hold myself accountable. This exercise gives me perspective-- and forces me to find blessings that ground me in this hectic, beautiful, gift of a life.
